State Street appoints Korea country head

State Street has appointed Min Kim as Korea country head. Min has been with State Street for over 20 years and was instrumental in developing the bank’s franchise in Korea. Prior to taking on this role, he was head of Korea Institutional Services. Reporting to Mostapha Tahiri, CEO, Asia Pacific at State Street, Min is replacing YK Rim, who has retired. State Street is a long-term service provider to NPS, the Korean national pension system that has c.USD600bn AuM. In 2019 State Street opened a representative office in Jeonju, where NPS has its headquarters.
