The board of abrdn plc, formerly Standard Life Aberdeen, which has GBP535bn (USD743bn) AuM, has appointed Hannah Grove as a Non-Executive Director from 1 September 2021. Melanie Gee will stand down from the board at the conclusion of her second three-year term of appointment on 31 October 2021. Grove will succeed Gee as the board employee engagement designated NED and will be appointed a member of the nomination and governance committee.
Prior to her retirement in November 2020, Grove served as chief marketing officer for State Street, responsible for teams delivering brand, reputation, business and product marketing, social media, digital marketing and client experience. As CMO, she was a member of State Street’s management committee, at the time its senior-most strategy and policy-making team. Grove spent more than 20 years at State Street.
