BNY Mellon wins award for best workplace for innovators

Whilst it is my editorial policy not to feature news about industry awards – most of which are worthless – this one is notable, as it demonstrates how far BNY Mellon has come in the last three years. BNY Mellon has been named one of Fast Company’s Best Workplaces for Innovators for 2021. This annual list, produced in collaboration with Accenture, recognises and honours the top 100 businesses that inspire, support and promote innovation at all levels and across a variety of industries.

BNY Mellon was recognised for its investments in infrastructure to support innovation. In the last year alone, BNY Mellon has launched Fintech Express, a streamlined on-boarding process of emerging technology companies for a faster proof of execution; and an Accelerator Program, allowing Series A to Series C companies to test, innovate and validate solutions with BNY Mellon teams. Other innovation initiatives include internal programs to guide BNY Mellon teams through ideation and validation as well as one to crowdsource innovative ideas across the organisation.
