Northern Trust makes senior management moves

Northern Trust has hired Kelley Conway to lead its corporate and digital strategy, based in Chicago and reporting to Mike O’Grady, CEO. She joins from Accenture, where she was a partner in the financial services practice.

The firm has also established a new unit within its asset servicing business, Investment Data Science, which will be led by Paul Fahey, who was previously COO of asset servicing for the Americas. Fahey will be replaced by Nadia Ivanova, who will continue in her role as head of business services for the corporate & institutional services business.

Guy Gibson has been appointed as head of capital markets, which covers securities lending, foreign exchange, transition management, and brokerage. Gibson, who joined Northern Trust in 2016 following its acquisition of Aviate Global, the equity brokerage firm he co-founded, replaces Mike Vardas, who is retiring after nearly 40 years with the firm.
