Apex has appointed Kimberly DeTrask as CFO and Maxwell Johnston as chief business officer (CBO). DeTrask joins from State Street, where she has served for over 12 years, most recently as treasurer. Before joining State Street, she spent more than 14 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, where she worked in the risk and policy unit. She reports directly to Peter Hughes, Apex founder & CEO, and joins the group executive committee. Maxwell Johnston, an existing member of the executive committee who has held several roles in his seven-year tenure at Apex, has been appointed CBO. He was most recently interim CFO.
